Worth trying

I came across this quote and really am going to try and make it happen for me. Good reminder that yesterday is gone and the best we can do is to improve in this moment. Holding on to yesterday's ick won't help achieve that goal.

Lent

Look, y'all know I try to avoid the topics of religion and politics in polite company. But, for my Catholic peeps (Or for those of you who are giving up wine, dessert, or any other high calorie vice in the name of ceremony...) I give you this:

So I got home late last night from the painting event with Catherine.

This morning, Tony praised my picture and said it was good and that I was talented (See sometimes he knows when it is good to sugarcoat. He should have practiced this skill the day that the scale so rudely harshed on my mellow.).
I asked if he wanted to see Cat's painting. He said yes, so I pulled up a pic from my phone.
He then said : Oh. She has a vase.
Me: I have a vase too.
Him: crickets
Me: Did you think that was a tree trunk?
Him: Yes. Then there was laughing. At me.

Somehow my vase did not achieve the mosaic effect. I thought it favored a tree last night. The light of day only served to verify this.

Whatevs... Long live the tree of blooms!

This almost made me feel sorry for laughing

At him....
I received these beautiful flowers today;

In reality, they look even better. Beautiful and exotic. And tall- for your reference:

So what if I am wearing an I ❤ Jake Ryan shirt. Every straight woman my age does. Also, disregard my Hawaiian print shorts. Comfy. And I was not expecting a photo shoot.

Tony did a great job. I love these!!!

Oh, why was I laughing at him earlier in the evening?

Well, let's say this is the score:
Keurig: 3
Tony: 0

It does not matter how easy it is to brew if you keep forgetting to put a coffee cup under the spout.

I before E and OMG

So this happened this morning:

I had Tony test it and he said the scale was accurate. Should I trust this face?

In any case, I refused to tell him what the scale told me. After he asked for the 5th time, I told him it said FU. Only I did not abbreviate.

In any case, I am woefully distraught and need to lose 20 lbs instantly. Help!

All of this has made me feisty. This brings up the topic of I before E except after C. Why isn't fiesty spelled to follow that rule? That makes me more feisty.

Society needs rules people!!!!

Tony and I have a costume party coming up and need costumes that are either Lady GaGa or Mardi Gras. I looked to Amazon for options for GaGa and found lots of options, including this:

I guess that is what I should have expected. What I did not expect was the user review. Where is this woman hanging out?

Consequently, I still am looking for ideas.

So it has recently come to my attention that Lou Diamond Phillips is Filipino and not Native American as I have long believed. How did this happen? Tony thought the same thing. Also, why is Filipino spelled with an "F" when it denotes a group from the Philippines (Ph)?
